Research concerns metallurgy, structure of metals, rheology analysis : characterisation of the strong relation between process and material microstructure.

Establishment of links between formation of structure of metallic materials, their evolution, mechanical comportment during shaping processes, occurrence of faults and final properties of a piece

Analysis of shaping processes : - cold and hot deep drawing (steel, aluminium and zirconium alloys) multi-pass forging (steel, aluminium, titan, copper, zirconium alloys) - rolling, cold and hot (aluminium alloys, steel in inter-critical domain) - steel wire drawing - impact and deformation at high velocity (aluminium foam and profiles, copper alloys, steel) - consolidation and rheology of porous media (powders, foams) - consolidation of composites with metallic matrix - moulding and foundry - solid and semi-solid thixotropic spinning (aluminium, magnesium) flow forms - rapid deformations


All of the domains linked to the automotive and aeronautic sectors, equipment for energy sector and consumer goods. The analysis of industrial materials (steel, titan, aluminium, zinc, magnesium, zirconium alloys and super-alloys).
