Research themes :
- 3D digitisation of reality directed towards the geometric and photometric modelling of large-scale environments: urban areas, road environments
- Improvement of the geometric and photometric quality of the models, with the fusion of different sources of geographical data (terrestrial and aerial) for the creation of more complex, realistic multi-resolution models, and improvement of the quality of the vehicle's trajectory and localisation.

Equipment


Conjugation of the precise location of a vehicle in motion by the fusion of GPS data, an inertial navigation unit and odometers, and the acquisition of geometric and photometric data by laser telemetry and on-board video camera.
This is a useful model for route managers as it can provide 3D geometric models of road itineraries.
Integration into the Vizir Project, whose purpose it is to develop new road visibility measuring tools.
