Presentation
The CEP has developed skills in many fields that are useful for studying the transformation of matter and energy. Attention focuses on complex energy systems, particularly in transient conditions, and on controlling their environmental impacts.
CEP research activities are organized according three strategic areas :
- 1 : Energy efficiency (building, industry, transport)
- 2 : Decarbonization of processes (CO2 capture, gaz treatment and purification)
- 3 : New and renewable energies (resource evaluation and prediction, integration optimization, hydrogen, biomass conversion, environmental impacts)
These areas gather all CEP research activities in a consistent set of expertise orientated towards the major preoccupations of different economic sectors and the society as a whole in terms of sustainable development. Cross-cutting activities on the input of nanomaterials and environmental impacts evaluation are also considered.
CEP is located on four different sites : Paris, Palaiseau, Fontainebleau and Sophia Antipolis, structured in research teams as follows :
CEP Paris :
- Demand side management (MDE)
- Colloidal systems in industrial processes (SCPI)
CEP Palaiseau :
- Eco-design and energy efficiency in buildings (ETB)
- Heat transfers in systems (SYSTHERM)
- Thermodynamics and systems (TDS)
CEP Fontainebleau :
- Thermodynamics and phases equilibria (TEP)
CEP Sophia Antipolis :
- Renewable energies and smartgrids (ERSEI)
- Energy, materials and processes (EM&P)
- Plasma conversion processes (Plasma)
- Observation, Modeling, Decision (OMD)
