Grant from the ERC

Jean-Philippe Vert, in charge of Centre for computational biology (MINES ParisTech - CBIO)/Curie Institute has just obtained in november 2011, a Starting Grant of 1,5 million euro from the European Research Council (ERC). This grant  is going to finance its researches on the project SMAC (Statistical machine learning for complex biological data), for the next 5 years.

The Centre for computational biology is, since 2008, one of the teams of the mixed unit common to MINES ParisTech, the Curie Institute and the INSERM U900 dedicated to the epidemiology, the bio-computing and the systematic biology of the cancer.
